A warm welcome is extended to all keelboat and motor boat owners to participate in
this year’s RSYC Merdeka Regatta. For the competitive sailors there will be a race
from Port Klang to Sembilan Islands, a Platu race against the Royal Malaysian
Navy and a Pangkor Island day race. Cruising sailors and motor boaters are
invited to cruise in company and enjoy diving, snorkeling and beach parties. The
event is open to all yachtsmen in the region.
Outline Programme (to be refined as participation is confirmed)
Saturday 28th August
Overnight keelboat race from Port Klang (starting off Pintu Gedung) to the
Sembilan Islands (start time 1030)
Sunday 29th August
Yachts berth in new Pangkor Marina – check in to hotel/resorts.
Inter-port Platu Race against RMNYC (TBC)
Seafood Dinner at Restaurant near Marina
Monday 30th August
Pangkor Island Race for the Pangkor Laut Cup (start 1400)
Prize Giving Dinner at Emerald Bay, sponsored by Pangkor Laut Resort
(1900 for 1930) (TBC)
Tuesday 31st August
Boats disperse to their bases, or to Lumut.

Terms & Conditions :
1. All rates are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia, inclusive of 10% service charge, 5% government tax.
2. The above rates are applicable for individual booking only and all reservations are on-request
basis. Group rates are available upon request.
3. The Resort requires full payment no later than one month (30 days) prior to arrival. All accounts
must be settled by credit card or cash in which a copy of bank in slip must be faxed to our
reservation department.
4. Company cheque payment will only be accepted no less than 7 working days prior to arrival date
with prior approval from our management. The cheque payment will only be acknowledged upon
clearance by our bank.
5. Room cancellation must be advised 72 hours prior to the date of arrival. Failing which, a one-night
room charge of total room blocked will be imposed
6. In the event of a no show, a one-night room charge of total room blocked will be imposed.
7. Check -in time : 1500 hours
8. Check- out time : 1200 hours.
9. Late check- out up to 1800 hours is subjected to a surcharge of 50% of the contracted rates. Full
rate applies after 1800 hours and is subjected to room availability.
